Rooted in my personal Sicilian folk magic tradition, these candles draw from household protections, botanical knowledge, and spiritual practices historically used throughout Southern Italy. Each candle is hand-rolled using 100% natural beeswax, long valued in folk and devotional practice for its purifying, protective, and prayer-supporting qualities.
Each candle is anointed with Occhio Chiuso anointing oil and then rolled in the same protective herbal blend used throughout the Occhio Chiuso collection. This blend includes rue, rosemary, basil, and fennel, herbs traditionally associated with warding, cleansing, reversal, and breaking the malocchio. Lemon and orange peel are included both symbolically and energetically, reflecting the use of citrus in Sicilian folk practice to cleanse envy, cut crossed conditions, and restore clarity and vitality.
